You will be happy to know that the Sellers followed your advice, and painted most of the interior... The colour you selected was perfect! The bathroom, foyer, bedrooms look wonderful! They followed your suggestions re furniture arrangement, decluttering, and cleaning - it looks much more spacious and inviting. They also cleaned up the yard, trimmed and removed brush. To those of you interested Janis and I would highly recommend Annette Donald of Staged by Design (www.stagedbydesign.ca). So what is staging? Staging is setting up your house in a way that will best show to potential buyers, as opposed to how it best suits you. Studies have shown anywhere from a 2% to 5% increase in the selling price. Her initial consultation was very reasonable, and full of great suggestions. She leaves you a book with general suggestions and then points specific to your house. She spent 3+ hours at our place. I wanted to take a moment to congratulate the team on the tremendous work. I cannot believe in less than a day - you have taken our things and created a feeling in this house that we have never been able to create in 31 yrs. of living in it! WOW the transformations are amazing - I would definitely recommend every Realtor(R) & homeowner use this process. Our house has been on the market for over a year with another agent - if that agent had used staging in his marketing plan I am convinced we would have sold already. Thank goodness we found Linda, our new agent - she brought the CSP Staging suggestion to our attention - definitely worth the investment of time & money.
